Popeyes has launched its first ever Christmas menu - with prices starting at just £1.50.

The fried chicken brand has announced six new items aiming to combine the 'flavours of New Orleans' with 'British festive classics', available in-store from today.

These include the festive 'superstack' sandwich, a take on the classic chicken sandwich, but adding the likes of cranberry sauce and an onion and sage hash brown to emulate the 'comfort of a classic Christmas roast'.

You can even get your Christmas fix in their breakfast menu, as the new festive roll includes sausages and bacon, as well as the cranberry sauce and hash brown.

For those with a sweet tooth, the menu includes drinks and desserts, including a mint milkshake with oreo and a caramel latte.

Prices start from £1.50 for the hash brown, while the festive box meal, including a sandwich, chicken side, fries and drink sells from £11.49.

The full list of new items includes the festive superstack sandwich, festive feastin' roll, the chicken feastin' roll, sage and onion hash brown, frostin' mint shake with oreo, caramel latte and festive superstack box meal.

Dave Hoskins, head of food at Popeyes, said: 'This festive season we want to give our guests a taste of the traditional holiday flavours everyone knows and loves, but with a true Popeyes twist.

'We're proud to reveal our first ever festive menu in the UK, and what better way to do it than with a nod to our New Orleans heritage!

'We know our fans love when we put a spin on a classic, and our Sage & Onion hash browns are a delicious all-day way to enjoy the flavours of a roast potato - what's not to love?

'We've also snuck one into our new Festive Superstack Sandwich alongside our world-class Shatter Crunchin' chicken, emmental, and some cranberry habanero sauce, giving our guests a familiar taste of the holidays with an unexpected Louisiana kick.'

It comes as chains across the UK have announced their exciting limited-time offerings in time for Christmas.

McDonald's fans have already been given a first look at the chain's Christmas menu , with fan-favourite item the Big Tasty rumoured to be returning.

Meanwhile the battle of the Christmas adverts has begun, with the likes of Aldi, Asda Morrisons, Shelter and M&S releasing creative festive films.

Sainsbury's was the first to the advert competition this year, kicking of the battle with a sweet tale about Roald Dahl's beloved BFG.

The 'Festive Feastin' menu is available from November 5 in Popeyes restaurants, drive-thrus and via delivery.
