Presenting the 2024 Yankees Roster Report Cards

It's that time again. The Yankees ' season might have ended later than at any point since 2009 but alas, there is no new Commissioner's Trophy to be found in the Yankees Museum. Nonetheless, New York still took home just its second American League pennant in the past 20 years, so it was a pretty successful season — even if not ultimately an outright success due to the high standards that the franchise claims to keep for itself. How will that reflect on each individual player's report card, though? As Pinstripe Alley does every year , we are grading the most relevant Yankees to take the field in 2024 (and remained with the organization through season's end). There were true standouts, but as always, there were deep disappointments as well. So we've combined our powers to issue an overall staff grade for each player, and we'll work through the list as the offseason rolls through November and early December. If you're looking for evaluations on manager Aaron Boone and general manager Brian Cashman click their highlighted links. This post will serve as the tracker for the report cards, keeping the links to them in an easy-to-access location. Note that we're hitting the impending free agents first since the timing would be awkward if we were only getting to grading someone like Torres (just to name one example) near the end, who might have already signed by early December or late November.
