Prince George's Co teacher federally indicted on child abuse material charges
The Prince George's County elementary school teacher accused of seeking inappropriate images of children, including former students, was federally indicted on several charges.

Mark Edward Cobb has been in Prince George's County custody since county officials charged him with nearly a dozen child sexual abuse and child sexual abuse material charges in late August. But a federal grand jury indicted the Cooper Lane Elementary School teacher with coercion and enticement of a child and possession of child pornography, according to a statement issued Wednesday.
Cobb's alleged actions were alerted to detectives on Aug. 25, where they said they found messages from Cobb to a nine-year-old student on Roblox between June 2023 and August 2024 where he asked and received sexually inappropriate photos.
After the discovery, Cobb was arrested at his home in Bowie, where officials said they found more videos and images of children under the age of 12. At the time of the arrest, police said they were working to identify any other possible victims in the area.
