Promising Steelers OT set to return after missing two months with injury

E.Martin39 min ago
The Pittsburgh Steelers have opened the 21-day window for offensive tackle Dylan Cook to return from injured reserve. Cook has been out since the middle of August with a lisfranc injury in his foot. Cook suffered the injury in the team's second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, and he was placed on injured reserve shortly before the season started.

The Steelers only have three offensive tackles on their active roster in Dan Moore Jr., Broderick Jones, and Calvin Anderson, after Troy Fautanu suffered a dislocated kneecap that would end his regular season. Cook, who can play every spot on the offensive line but center, would give the Steelers a significant boost to that room.

The Steelers signed Cook during OTAs in 2023 when he was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cook impressed enough in training camp to earn a spot on the 53-man roster, but never got to play much throughout the season. With injuries mounting on the offensive line, getting anyone back, including Cook, is a boost for the Steelers' depth.
