OAK LAWN, IL — The pumpkins have been rolled off the truck and spread across the sprawling lawn of the First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn , 100th Street and Central Avenue, which has deservedly earned its title as the "Pumpkin Church."

The most sincere pumpkin patch in the south suburbs is now open daily through Halloween, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Pumpkins and gourds of all shapes, colors, sizes, colors bumps and warts are available for your Halloween display and fall decor.

The Pumpkin Church's 14th annual pumpkin patch is more than ever, featuring tractor rides for $1, spots for fall family pictures, a scavenger hunt, and a Halloween and Christmas gift and decor tent, with homemade baked goods for purchase, including Dawn's amazing pumpkin bread. Make some memories with your kids and grandkids by building a scarecrow for $15.

Something new this year is a tent where kids can try on Halloween costumes for pictures among the gourds, pumpkins, hay bales and fall leaves. Tire out your preschooler by picking out a pumpkin before the afternoon nap.
