Putnam County farm honored for conservation

Sep. 19—REYNOLDSBURG — The Ohio Department of Agriculture recognized five families as winners of the 2024 Conservation Farm Family Awards at the Farm Science Review in London, Ohio.
The honored families were: the Weller Family, Putnam County; the Workman Family, Ashland County; the Hodge Family, Muskingum Family; the Mehl Family, Butler County; and the Jepsen Family, Fairfield County.
"These five families have dedicated their entire lives and operations to conservation," said Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Brian Baldridge.
The families will each receive $400 from the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and will be featured in the September issue of Ohio Farmer Magazine.
