Sports Raiders vs. Ravens: Baltimore DB Nate Wiggins to Miss Game After Car Accident

The Las Vegas Raiders are set to play their second game of the season on Sunday, against the Baltimore Ravens .

Earlier this week, Lamar Jackson ended up missing practice . He has since made his way back onto the field, and should be in good shape to take on the Ravens this week. However, they will be missing one of their defenders.

Rookie CB Nate Wiggins had missed practice earlier this week with a neck injury, and Baltimore's head coach John Harbaugh updated us on Friday with a reason why. It turns out, Wiggins was actually involved in a car crash a couple of days ago.

"Nate was in a car accident a couple days ago," Harbaugh said to reporters on Friday. "They were kind of working through it. Looks like he's not going to be able to make it to the game, so he'll be out for the game. He's fine, he's healthy, he's fine, but not going to be able to play."

First and foremost, it's good to hear that Wiggins is okay. Car accidents are always a scary thing, and the fact that Wiggins ended up with a neck injury as a result suggests the accident must have been decently dangerous. However, Wiggins luckily escaped it with what seems like a relatively minor injury.

For Sunday's game, the Ravens will be without Wiggins, which could end up hurting their defense. Wiggins was pretty solid in Baltimore's Week 1 affair, and will likely be missed in Week 2.

Baltimore shouldn't miss him too much though, with all signs pointing to a Ravens win on Sunday. The team is heavily favored , and Las Vegas struggled mightily on offense in the first game of the season.
