Johns was instrumental in Elko’s ability to keep opponents off the scoreboard — playing hard-nosed, physical, in-four-face defense — the Lady Indians allowing just 20 goals on the season across 27 games, giving up an average of only .74 goals per contest.
As a unit, Elko tallied 18 shutouts.
