Reese scores three in Wilkes win

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Matthew Reese drilled a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth as Wilkes scored three times in the deciding frame to post a 4-1 win over Muhlenberg in college baseball Tuesday.
Tom Ring led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a run, while Dan Pisanchyn, Bobby O’Keefe and Reese accounted for the five Colonel (3-1) hits in the win.
Johnny Jan pitched six innings, allowing two hits and an unearned run.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
Susquehanna 3, Misericordia 2
Misericordia fell to Susquehanna in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Jeremy DeCotiis led the Cougars with three hits and an RBI, while Kyle Lindsay added a hit and RBI.
Dan Kliesh worked six shutout innings in his first collegiate outing before absorbing the loss.

St. John Fischer 14, Misericordia 6
Misericordia opened the season with a loss to St. John Fisher in Clearwater, Fla.
Andrew Reynolds led the Cougars with two goals and an assist. Nick Santillo and Patrick Kellish both added a goal and an assist.
COLLEGE WOMEN’S TENNIS
King’s 6, Cornerstone 3
King’s captured two of three doubles contests, then won four of the six singles matches to post a 6-3 victory over Cornerstone in Orlando, Fla.
Madeline Griffin and Sara Lynn paired to win at No. 1 doubles 8-4.
In singles, Griffin won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 before Lynn followed with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 triumph.
