Regional Chamber gives awards during Economic Forecast Breakfast
NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The Regional Chamber met Thursday to talk about the regional and national economy.
Members gathered at the Eastwood Event Centre for their annual Economic Forecast Breakfast.
The emcee for the event was First News Reporter Gerry Ricciutti. He is also a member of the chamber and helped give out the 2024 Valley Champion Award.
It went to Jack Damioli who is the president and CEO of The Broadmoor Hotel and Resort in Colorado. It is the longest-running 5-star, 5-diamond resort in the world.
"A lot of wonderful lessons learned here growing up — Yankee Run in Brookfield, then attending YSU for a couple of years — just this whole Valley, the work ethic and the dedication, the ability to persevere, those things have always stuck with me," said Damioli.
Receiving this year's Valley Champion Award was David Valentiner, who is the managing director of Interest Rate Management at First National Bank. He was also the keynote speaker.
