TUSCALOOSA, AL — Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Tuscaloosa area will now have a new modern offering for office space.

Regus Office Centre is located at 1857 Commons North Drive and held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting Wednesday with the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama.

The state-of-the-art building will provide custom office spaces, meeting rooms, event space and more, with the company having the goal of revolutionizing the office solutions market.

Regus Area Manager Heather Salillas said the firm manages five locations in Birmingham and touted the new location as one of the most picturesque in the company's portfolio.

"We're so excited about getting the word out," she said. "We have flexible office solutions and so many different options for terms and different products to fit every client's needs and the scalability is really going to enhance this area and provide a lot of additional support."

Chamber Vice President of Economic and Community Development Barkley Garrett was also in attendance Tuesday and said the concept is desperately needed in a growing place like Tuscaloosa.

"Lots of small businesses start and need a place to go," he said. "They're too big for their kitchen table and are running out of space in their garage, so they need to go somewhere and a service like this is a wonderful service."
