Richard Hirschman to give travel presenation on Nov. 19 at Keene Memorial Library.
Fremont resident Rich Hirschman will wrap up his exploration of Egypt travel presentation series at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Keene Memorial Library's Community Meeting Room, 1030 N. Broad St., in Fremont.
The presentation will last about 45 minutes, allowing time for questions at the end. This presentation, which is geared towards adults, is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
A history and geography teacher at Fremont High School, Hirschman retired in 2001. In retirement, he has spent extensive time traveling with his family, solo, and often in tour groups. Hirschman has visited all seven continents and about 60 countries. To him, history is not just about memorizing names and dates, but the study of important events and how they connect with what is happening today.
