Ridgeland police arrest man wanted in Florida on sexual assault charges

RIDGELAND, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Ridgeland police arrested a man who was wanted in Florida on sexual assault charges.

Police said they conducted a traffic stop on Saturday, September 21 in the area of Old Canton Road and William Boulevard.

Four teens arrested after Madison County chase

They said the driver was identified as 37-year-old Ladarrius Rasheed Martin, of Ridgeland. They discovered Martin had active arrests warrants through the Escambia County Sheriff's Office for four counts of felony sexual assault of a minor.

Martin was arrested and transported to the Madison County Detention Center pending extradition to Escambia County, Florida.
