Rita Alice Nunez OBITUARY
Rita C. Nunez passed away on November 3, 2024 in Whittier at the age of 94. She was born on April 25,1930 in Riverside, CA. She met the love of her life, Fernando in Tulare, CA. They wed, then moved to Los Angeles. They raised six children.
Rita loved beauty. She was a natural artist with interior design, and was a perfectionist. Everything had to be just right.
Rita loved being a homemaker, spending time with her friends and most of all her family.
Rita is survived by her husband of 72 years, Fernando. Children, Karen Nunez, Edward (Maura) Nunez, Kathy Cartwright, Kim (Steve) Barbaro and Eric Nunez; grandchildren, Dana Barbaro, Lucas Cartwright, Sam Cartwright, Natalie Nunez, Aubrey Gemmell Nunez, Noelle Nunez, Sarah Nunez and Jonny Nunez
Her son, Jonathan Mark Nunez pre-deceased 2002.
A viewing will be held from 5pm-8pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier. A funeral mass will be at 11am on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church Whittier followed by internment at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
