A Rite Aid spokesperson told NewsChannel 9 that after a "comprehensive analysis of our distribution network, we've made the difficult but necessary business decision to close our Liverpool, NY distribution center."
The company will transition its operations to its Perryman, MD distribution center starting in April.
Employees working through the end of their transition period will receive severance packages, outplacement support and COBRA benefits, the spokesperson said.
