River Bandits' pitcher Mozzicato wins Gold Glove

Quad Cities River Bandits pitcher Frank Mozzicato has been named a 2024 Rawlings Gold Glover winner.

The No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 draft, Mozzicato is just the second River Bandits' player to win the award, joining second baseman Michael Massey in 2021.

The 6-3 lefty from Manchester, Conn., made 22 appearances on the mound last season, handling 18 chances without an error over 101 2/3 innings.

For the season, the No. 11 prospect in the Royals system went 5-10 with a 3.45 ERA and 91 strikeouts.
