Rochester man injured in Highway 56 crash

KENYON TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A Rochester man was injured in a two-vehicle crash near Kenyon on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, a 2008 Buick Lucerne was traveling north on Minnesota Highway 56 and a 2017 Ford F150 was traveling west on 490th Street when the vehicles collided in the intersection.

Both drivers, 72-year-old Jerome Nicholas Lensing of Rochester and 86-year-old Shirley Marie Dahl of Owatonna, were not injured in the crash.

The passenger in the Ford F150, 83-year-old Robert Merryl Dickerson of Rochester, had non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, Kenyon Police Department, Kenyon First Responders and North Ambulance Company responded to the crash.
