Rockford man arrested in DUI crash in Monroe Center

MONROE CENTER, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man was arrested in Monroe Center on drunk driving charges Tuesday night after slamming into a pole, police said. Ogle County deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Jata Drive and Mulford Road around 7:35 p.m. and found a blue Hyundai Sonata had been involved in the crash. The driver, Logan Huber, 28, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail and later released with a notice to appear at a future court date.
