Rose Gross Siemon

Rose Gross Siemon, of Wilkes-Barre Township, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was a daughter of the late John and Margaret Pasquariello Gross. She retired from the Social Security Administration Wilkes-Barre Data Operations Center, where she was a supervisor. She did volunteer work for over 30 years at Geisinger Hospital, formerly the Mercy Hospital, at elementary schools, soup kitchens and many other organizations in Wilkes-Barre. Rose was an avid card player and played Pinochle with many groups. She was also a Red Hat Roller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles John Siemon; her daughter, Mary Siemon; brothers, Nicholas, Patrick, John; sisters, Mary, Ann, and Angeline.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Dr. Peggy Siemon-Hryczyk and her husband, Raymond Hryczyk of Montvale, N.J., Dorothy Siemon, Esq. of Arlington, Va.; brother, Vincent Gross of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sister, Margaret Grobinski of Mountain Top; grandchildren, Rachael and Isabel Siemon-Carome, Meredith and Ryan Hryczyk; many devoted nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Leo’s/Holy Rosary Church, Manhattan St., Ashley. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
