osemary F. Marranca, 72, of Pittston, died Wednesday at home.



Born Sept. 10, 1929, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late James and
Margaret (Donnora) Ferraro. She attended Exeter schools. She worked in the
local garment industry and recently assisted her son as part-owner of Char-Pit
Barbecue Restaurant, Pittston Township. She was a member of the International
Ladies Garment Workers Union, and St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic
Church, Pittston.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Pat.

Surviving are her husband, Samuel “Kooch”; sons, Samuel, Forty Fort; and
Pasquale, West Pittston; daughters, Debra Altavilla, Exeter; and Renee
Christman, Pittston; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters,
Marion Surack, Binghamton, N.Y.; Josephine Galli, Exeter; Sara Rome, West
Pittston; and Connie Diez, Troutville, Va.



Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Graziano Funeral Home
Inc., 700 Pittston Blvd., Pittston Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial
at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. Interment will
be in the parish cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.
