WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Rosie the Ve-law-ciraptor has been a landmark for the Callahan and King law firm ever since they opened in downtown Waco.

Lawyer and Partner of the Law Firm Robert Callahan recalls how in December of 2022, multiple cameras surrounding the neighborhood where the office is located caught people on camera stealing the dinosaur.

"We were pretty certain that we knew who did it, but it also involved someone who had a previous relationship with the office, and we decided that we didn't want to sour that relationship, and we decided not to file a report," Callahan explained.

Two days ago, Rosie was spotted at an apartment complex near Baylor, belonging to a student who found her at a garage sale, and so they filed a report and Waco PD was able to return Rosie home.

When asked about the incident a spokesperson for the department gave a statement regarding Rosie:

"We're happy the Dino [was brought] back to its owners and everyone was understanding in this case! As Dr. Ian Malcolm said... Life finds a way and this Dino found [her] way back home thanks to our Waco PD Dino Recovery Team."

Callahan says he's grateful to the people who helped Rosie from going extinct forever.

"We thank the community for being involved in 2022 and helping us look and of course the officers and people that were involved this year in recovering her."
