Rutgers Rant: Will Scarlet Knights earn historic road win over Virginia Tech? Plus: A special guest!

D.Davis2 hr ago
Rutgers has a chance to make history in Blacksburg this weekend.

The Scarlet Knights (2-0) take on Virginia Tech (2-1) on Saturday at Lane Stadium, a venue they have never left with a victory. Rutgers is 0-6 all-time against the Hokies on the road, including a 35-14 loss in 2002 — the second year of head coach Greg Schiano's first stint with the program — when it last made the trip.

The Rutgers Rant is back to preview the Scarlet Knights' trip to Virginia Tech, predict whether they will earn a historic victory in Blacksburg and what areas will be key in the matchup.

Plus, we make history of our own: Rutgers women's soccer forward Gia Girman became the first active Scarlet Knight to make an appearance on the podcast. We talk to her about her viral moment against UMass last month, her game-winning goal in her first game back from suspension and her hopes for the 2024 season.
