Ryan Garcia Challenges Bill Haney for Exhibition, Doubts Devin Haney Could Fulfil Rematch Condition

The Devin HaneyRyan Garcia saga continues to baffle everyone. The former interim WBC lightweight champion has come out and challenged Devin's father Bill Haney for a fight. The latter recently gave 'King Ry' 48 hours to enroll with VADA if he wanted to get a rematch with his son Devin Haney.

However, the Victorville native refused to do anything the Haneys wanted him to, claiming he didn't need them. Now, in a lengthy X post, the 26-year-old roped in Bill Haney, challenging him to an exhibition bout. "I landed a hook in the first 30 seconds," Garcia wrote referring to the Haney fight in April earlier this year.

He asked Bill Haney to explain "How would ped's ever give me the timing and accuracy to land that hook that quick off Devin Haney making a minor mistake." Garcia claimed because the Haneys are in denial of the loss, they continue to take losses. He added that people would have more respect for them if they chose to take the loss on the chin instead of making excuses.

"You tell me to get on vada, but you forgot it ain't on your terms who the f**k are you," Garcia wrote reacting to Bill's ultimatum to enroll with VADA. "I already agreed to them randomly testing me. So you can shove it up your defiled bootyhole." Garcia asked the Haneys to "stop complaining and shut up."

If not "we can run an exhibition between yourself and " Garcia wrote. Since his loss to Garcia, the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) overturned Haney's defeat, ruling it a no-contest. Garcia, however, was handed a year-long suspension and fined $1.2 million. Adding to the tension, Haney has filed a lawsuit against Garcia, accusing him of battery, fraud, and breach of contract.

In the meantime, another feud has been brewing, involving 'The Dream' and Blair Cobbs, who is coming off a win over former world champion Adrien Broner. Interestingly, a recent sparring footage between them leaked on the internet.

"You could react better, taking a loss," Cobbs commented on Haney's lawsuit against Ryan Garcia, which stems from their April fight where Garcia tested positive for ostarine.

"Do you think that you can handle somebody like me? Remember that a**-whooping, right? Come and get it, and I'll take those pillow hands and stuff it up your a** and call and show you what you really is a coward," Cobbs added. Garcia responded to Cobbs' callout to Haney, stating that if Haney can defeat Cobbs, he would consider a rematch.

However, Garcia expressed doubts that Haney could pull it off. "Blair the flair vs Devin Haney book it[.] If Devin gets past Blair then we can run it back[.] But I doubt it," Garcia wrote on X.

That being said, Ryan Garcia seems to have enlightened the Haneys about the reality of their situation. The Victorville native has made it clear, despite what has happened till now—he remains the A-Side. However, whether Haney agrees to fight Cobbs is yet to be seen.
