Saoirse Ronan proved she was a style icon when she flaunted too effortlessly chic outfits while out and about in New York City on Thursday.

The 30-year-old Irish actress — who recently went viral for a tense exchange with Paul Mescal about violence against women — first opted for a striking black-and-white outfit, before changing into a sleek gold-and-brown dress that gleamed at magic hour.

Her first look featured a slim, semi-sheer black mock turtleneck that she wore over a white short-sleeve blouse.

She brightened up the dark top with her flowing white culottes, which resembled a skirt thanks to extra layers of draped fabric.

The Little Women star contrasted her billowing pants with black square-toed heels, and she wore a set of glamorous black sunglasses that were framed by dangling strands of hair.

Later in the day, Saoirse emerged again in New York City, this time in a stunning dress for an evening on the town.

The sleeveless item showcased her toned arms, and it featured a knee-length skirt with a high slit running down the middle.

The collared dress shimmered in the light thanks to thousands of delicate brown and gold beads that were arranged to create lovely floral designs.

Saorise changed up her hairstyle for the evening, tying her blond locks back into a bun to put the spotlight on her round diamond-encrusted earrings.

The Lady Bird star completed her look with a pair of gold open-toe heels that added to her stature.

She has been busy lately making the rounds to promote her two newest films, both of which are currently in limited release in the US.

In The Outrun, directed by Nora Fingscheidt and based on the 2016 memoir of the same name by Amy Liptrot, Saoirse plays a woman struggling with alcoholism who has just gotten out of rehab and moved back to her family's homes in Scotland's Orkney Islands.

While there, she leans on her parents for support and tries to create a new life that doesn't involve drinking, but she struggles to have a meaningful social life.

Saoirse can also be seen in Steve McQueen's latest film, Blitz , which is currently playing in limited release, before it begins streaming on Apple TV+ on November 22.

She stars as Rita, who frantically searches for her son George (Elliott Heffernan) after he runs away in the midst of Nazi Germany's devastating bombing runs over London.

Both films have performed well with critics, further cementing the American-born Irish actress' status as one of the best actresses of her generation.

Saorise recently found herself in headlines for a different reason after she spoke up during a segment on The Graham Norton Show featuring Gladiator II stars Paul Mescal and Denzel Washington.

The buzziest moment came after Paul made a joke about having to learn how to fight using a phone as a deadly weapon.

'Who is actually going to think about that? If someone actually attacked me, I'm not going to go "phone,"' he joked while speaking about his Peacock series The Day Of The Jackal.

But Saoirse shot back that those concerns are what 'girls have to think about all the time.'

Paul also earned the ire of some viewers for poking fun at Saorise's appearance and costume in her 2011 action thriller Hanna after, and it didn't help matters when she warned him to stop talking over her.

However, Atonement actress made it clear that she and Paul — whom she starred with in the 2023 film Foe — were friends.
