Sarah Paulson looked in great spirits as she attended the premiere of her latest film Hold Your Breath in Los Angeles on Friday evening.

The American Horror Story star, 49, was joined by her longtime partner Holland Taylor, 81, as the pair appeared as loved up as ever.

Holding hands on the carpet, the couple's appearance came after Sarah clarified a recent rumour that they 'live separately'.

Sarah kept it classy as she wowed in a black sleeveless dress which featured long dangly silver sparkly straps.

Featuring slits on either sides of the skirt, Sarah completed the look with simple black heels and black bag.

Meanwhile Holland opted for a chic black power suit with shiny lapels and a mesh neckline.

Sarah and Holland have been together since 2015, though Taylor revealed in August that she has no plans to tie the knot even after nearly a decade together.

The longtime couple made headlines last week by confirming that they don't own a home together in an interview with ET .

'I have to clarify this. We don't live together meaning we don't own a home together, but we're together more often than we are not,' Sarah said.

'So, we live together, but we don't live together,' she said, as Holland added, 'In one home or the other, back and forth. A lot of variety.'

Sara explained, 'I think they thought they meant like we saw each other like once a month or something, it's not like that.'

The couple were also joined by the rest of the film's cast as Sarah posed for a group shot with Amiah Miller, Alona Jane Robbins and Arron Shiver.

The psychological thriller premiered on Hulu on Thursday and follows a woman who is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family.

Set in Oklahoma in the 1930s amid the region's horrific dust storms, Margaret Bellum (Sarah) takes extraordinary measures to protect her family from the threat.

Earlier this week, Sarah opened up about the movie during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

She explained that the movie 'differentiates itself from a traditional psychological thriller, because it's essentially about a mother who is grieving the loss of her youngest child that she lost to scarlet fever.'

'Because it takes place in the 1930s, during the Dust Bowl, which was a really scary time in our country, where, you know, like a wall of dust, a wave of black clouds...'

Jimmy cut in to say, 'That's scary in itself,' with Sarah adding that her character 'goes a little cuckoo!'

She also revealed that the original title of the film was simply, Dust, before the movie was officially called Hold Your Breath.

'But then there were a couple of titles that were floated...,' Sarah explained, with Fallon saying, 'Dust just doesn't sound exciting.'

The star then added, 'There were a couple of titles that were brought forward. One of them was It Gets Inside.'

The live audience began to laugh as Sarah jokingly said, 'And I was like, "It sure doesn't. It sure doesn't. Sure doesn't get inside."'
