SCDOT: Lane closures in Greenville, Spartanburg counties for debris cleanup

(WSPA) – Lane closures in Greenville and Spartanburg County will be implemented this weekend for debris pickup operations following Hurricane Helene.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation will implement temporary lane closures on I-85 and I-385 in Greenville County beginning Saturday, Nov. 9.

Officials said lane closures will continue on I-26 in Spartanburg County.

Lane closures in both counties are expected to continue for the next week according to officials.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the work zone.

SCDOT said drivers can seek alternate routes using the SCDOT 511 app or by visiting 511sc.org .
