NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Officials with Algiers Charter announced that bus service will not be available for students until Thursday, Oct. 3.
School officials said that bus transportation is unavailable due to "unforeseen circumstances," and they are working with another bus provider until the necessary mechanical parts come in.

While bus service is unavailable, school leaders are asking parents and caretakers with children who usually take the bus to make other arrangements.
Algiers Charter leaders said assignments will be posted to Google Classroom for students who can't get to school, and students will have time to make up work missed when they return.
They said bus service is expected to resume on Thursday, and parents and caretakers can contact the front office of their respective schools or visit their website.
