Search in Ossipee, NH for missing Florida woman called off

Police have called off the search for a missing woman that led to a silver alert throughout New Hampshire last weekend.
Carol Gemmiti, 66, is from Nokomis, Florida, a suburb of Sarasota on the Gulf Coast. She and her husband were vacationing in Ossipee, New Hampshire when she disappeared on September 27. New Hampshire State Police have said she suffers from dementia.
The Ossipee Police Department has suspended what had once been an extensive search for Gemmiti, citing a lack of new leads or new evidence. Investigators don't suspect foul play.
