Seasonal Pairings With Casa Malka Tequila

C.Garcia28 min ago

Founded by husband and wife duo, Malka Roth and Jayson Winer, Casa Malka Tequila is a premium tequila brand named after the spirit of inclusivity and celebration.

The name comes from two languages — "casa" meaning "home" in Spanish and "malka" translating to "queen" in Hebrew — representing both a welcoming and inviting overall brand ethos, as well as, elegance and distinction in the world of tequila. The name Casa Malka, translating to "House of the Queen," symbolizes a blend of "strength, grace, and regal charm," according to the founders.

Crafted with blue Weber agave, Casa Malka currently offers a blanco featuring bright, crisp flavors, and a reposado which is aged for at least 6 months in oak barrels featuring sweet flavors like caramel, toffee and nutmeg. And it's certified Kosher.

The upscale tequila can be found in some of the most ritzy restaurants and venues in the country, thanks to its appeal to lavishness and celebration.

Served from South Florida to the Hamptons, Casa Malka Tequila can be found at Japanese fusion restaurant Kissaki with notable venues in Miami, Florida and Manhasset, New York and Doma Land + Sea in Cedarhurst, New York. Whether Japanese omakase and kaiseki or cuisine centered around a wood fire Argentinean grill, mixologists can be found shaking up Casa Malka Tequila cocktails.

It's notable to mention that it can also be found at New York City's private club in Central Park Tower, the world's tallest residential building. Designed for residents and their guests, the club sits roughly 1,000 feet above Billionaires' Row. The 100th floor holds a grand ballroom with seating for more than 120 guests, an opulent private bar serving Casa Malka and restaurant with seasonal menus from Michelin-recognized chefs.

"Pairing tequila with the right food enhances both flavors, creating a balanced, elevated experience," explains the duo. "Each tequila type brings unique notes—like the bright citrus of a blanco or the smooth oakiness of a reposado—that complement specific dishes. This harmony between food and drink amplifies aromas, balances richness, and transforms every sip into a memorable tasting journey."

In the spirit of the holidays, we asked the founders about their favorite pairings for the this festive time of the year.

"Our favorite seasonal dishes to pair with reposado tequila include an herbaceous roasted chicken," says Roth. "Our smooth reposado tequila beautifully complements the savory flavors of an herb-roasted chicken with lemon and garlic thanks to its subtle oak and vanilla notes, enhancing the dish's richness while balancing its bright citrusy tones."

"When it comes to vegetarian dishes, we enjoy smoky roasted root vegetable tacos," says Winer. "It goes well with the warm, caramel notes of a reposado tequila, enhancing the earthy flavors and adding a smooth, slightly sweet contrast to the dish's smoky richness."

"As for our blanco tequila, our go-to is pairing it with an asparagus and citrus salad with grilled shrimp," continues the couple. "A crisp blanco tequila, with its bright, fresh agave flavors, pairs excellently with this dish, enhancing the zesty citrus notes and balancing the light, smoky sweetness of the shrimp."

Of course with Thanksgiving coming up, we also asked the founders what their favorite cocktails are for the holiday.

"When it comes to Thanksgiving, we love our selection of cocktails that best highlight the flavors of the table," they explains. "We enjoy serving the Spiced Apple Tequila Sour made with Reposado tequila, apple cider, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup and dash of bitters; a classic Cranberry Margarita, which can be made with either Blanco or Reposado tequila, cranberry juice, lime juice, triple sec, agave syrup, cranberry and rosemary garnish; and finally, the fun Pear and Ginger Paloma made with Blanco tequila, pear juice, ginger beer, splash of grapefruit juice, lime wedge and sprig of thyme."
