Secrest brothers carry Cedar Cliff to road victory over Altoona

There were no secrets about the performances of the Secrest brothers Friday night.

Sophomore fullback/tight end Blake Secrest scored three touchdowns and senior quarterback Bennett Secrest was 11-for-16 for 190 yards and two TDs for Cedar Cliff in a 31-20 road victory at Altoona.

Blake Secrest ran for two scores (5 carries, 17 yards) and caught another (6 catches, 88 yards) to lead the Colts (3-5 Commonwealth, 4-5 overall). He scored the first three touchdowns of the game that boosted Cedar Cliff to a 20-0 lead.

Running back Princeton Dent ran for 165 yards on 22 carries to fuel the Colts' run game. Julius Tirado caught three passes for 55 yards and a TD.

Altoona clawed back late with a pair of running TDs from Mark Harrington Jr. He scored twice on 13 carries for 46 yards and was 2-for-8 passing (56 yards).

Also for Altoona (1-7, 1-8), QB Parker White was 2-for-4 for 31 yards and a touchdown caught by Harrington Jr.

Landon Howell had an interception for Cedar Cliff and Blake Secrest had a sack. Dom Allen recorded a team-high six tackles.
