GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The summer's final Friday provided perfect conditions for high school football, and the on-field product was pretty good, too, with several Grand Rapids-area games going down to the wire.

Highlighting the action was Hudsonville upsetting Rockford and snapping the Rams' 35-game regular season winning streak, Mona Shores holding on against Byron Center in a battle of unbeatens, Northview edging East Grand Rapids to stay perfect and Cedar Springs celebrating its fourth narrow victory of the season.
