GRAND RAPIDS, MI - ArtPrize 2024 started with bang - literally.

Thousands gathered downtown as a 35-foot, 200-pound illuminated puppet , "David," scaled the Amway Grand Plaza tower. The evening was capped off by a firework display illuminating the downtown skyline.

ArtPrize will continue into this week, where locals and visitors will encounter and revisit entries from more than 950 artists at 165 venues throughout five downtown districts.

An interactive map displaying the location of each entry and the ArtPrize boundary can be found at artprize.org/attend .
