Holiday cooking with Chef Smith

Eureka Public Library joins more than 200 Illinois libraries to welcome the two-time James Beard Foundation award winner, who will talk about his culinary journey and bring some culinary inspiration into your holiday season.
Smith is a restaurateur with a passion for Southern cuisine and a prolific cookbook author and TV personality. His career has included stints in France and Chicago, where he was Oprah Winfrey's personal chef, and he founded Common Threads, a non-profit organization teaching low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals.
Smith will be joined in conversation by Monica Eng, award-winning Chicago journalist and co-host of food podcast "Chewing" w/ Louisa Chu.
The next Illinois Libraries Present program, "The Magic of Raina Telgemeier," will take place via Zoom and in-person at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the library.
