Several people arrested in Dededo raid
Several people were arrested by local law enforcement officers in a raid of a Dededo home on Wednesday morning.
The Pacific Daily News was on scene on Salisbury Street in Dededo where a number of law enforcement officers waited outside a gated house.
Officers later brought out at least three people from the house in restraints and put them into cars. It's unclear exactly how many people were arrested as part of the operation.
An officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration could be seen bringing out a box of evidence from the home.
Ignacio Valencia said the residents typically keep to themselves. Though he doesn't speak with them directly, he believes they are mechanics.
"I just hear them working behind their house. They have a car repair shop," he said.
DEA Special Agent Jeffery Knight tells PDN that this is an ongoing investigation and cannot make statements at this time.
While they also assisted in the operation, the Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency are also unable to comment, spokeswoman Alana Chargualaf-Afaisen said.
