‘Sexiest Man Alive’ odds appear to be in Glen Powell’s favor

The second most important date in November is swiftly approaching. No, it's not Thanksgiving but rather the release of People's "Sexiest Man Alive" issue. And it looks like Austin, Texas, native Glen Powell is poised to take the crown.

While the magazine will publicly name its 2024 Sexiest Man Alive on Tuesday, Nov. 12, that hasn't stopped fans and even sports bettors from speculating over who will snag the coveted (depending on who you ask) title.

People recently revealed the results of its 2024 Readers' Choice poll for "Sexiest Man Alive," where Powell was crowned the "Sexiest Summer Action Star" due to the actor starring in " one sexy role after another."

Given that Powell played the role of outlaw-esque storm chaser Tyler Owens in the summer blockbuster, "Twisters," it should come as no surprise that People's readers crowned him the "Sexiest Summer Action Star." But being dubbed the king of summer doesn't necessarily translate to being the sexiest man of the year.

Still, betting analysis website Sportsbook Review seems fairly confident in its prediction that Powell will be named People's 2024 "Sexiest Man Alive." 2024. The site calls Powell the "clear frontrunner" after "one hell of a year" in Hollywood .

"Honestly, Glen seems like he was made in a lab to be the perfect Sexiest Man Alive," the website states, pointing out his undeniable "charm and humor," the fact he's a " devoted dog dad " and that his obsession with Texas football only reaches an "endearing degree."

Other frontrunners named by the site include "The Bear" star Jeremy Allen White, "Freaky Tales" actor Pedro Pascal, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce .

But even these predictions are purely speculation until People reveals its 2024 "Sexiest Man Alive" on Nov. 12.
