Sexual Abuse Leading To Teen's Pregnancy Gets Alexandria Man Sentence

Francisco Flores-Lopez, 34, of Alexandria had pleaded guilty in September to first degree child sexual abuse in DC Superior Court. A judge sentenced Flores-Lopez to 144 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release, and he will be required to register as a sex offender.

Prosecutors say Flores-Lopez met the victim over social media and met up for the first time in June 2022, when he was 32 and she was about to turn 14. Flores-Lopez picked up the victim in his truck and brought her to Rock Creek Park in D.C. for sex.

According to prosecutors, the defendant and victim had various sexual encounters between June 2022 and March 2023 in Rock Creek Park. The victim got pregnant and gave birth to a baby when she was 14. DNA testing confirmed Flores-Lopez was the father. After the victim gave birth, Flores-Lopez would come to the victim's house for sex.
