SFC defeats O’Gorman in ranked cross-class battle

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls Christian knocked off O'Gorman in four sets at home Saturday afternoon.
The Chargers, who are ranked third in Class A, built a two-set advantage with 25-19 and 25-20 victories. The Knights, who came in ranked No. 3 in Class AA, took the third set 25-17 before SFC closed it out with a 25-18 win.
Brietta Tims notched a game-high 18 kills for Sioux Falls Christian. She hit .243 and also tallied two aces. Jayla Overman added nine kills with a .533 hitting percentage.
SFC will take on Canton on Tuesday, and O'Gorman is set to face Washington on Thursday.
