Sharon’s scarecrow contest winners announced after community members’ votes counted

SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – The winners of Sharon's Scarecrow Showdown have been announced!

The first-place winner is Diehl Hyundai of Sharon. Their scarecrow featured parts and tools.

Second place goes to The Winner's fall floral scarecrow, and ICG Hobbies and Game is taking home third place for its fun Jack-o'-lantern scarecrow creation.

The "People's Choice Award" goes to Gilbert's Risk Solutions for its Bob Ross scarecrow.

The top three winners will receive a cash prize to be spent in a Sharon-based business.

The Scarecrow Showdown took place from October 11 through November 1. Over 30 local businesses participated, each displaying their own uniquely themed scarecrow.

People were able to vote on which scarecrows they thought were the best. Over 500 votes were cast this year.

This annual event engages residents, attracts visitors and enhances small businesses' social media presence.
