Sheetz slashes some fuel prices to $1.99/gal for Thanksgiving week

The popular gas station Sheetz announced this week it will slash the price of a certain grade of gasoline to $1.99 a gallon ahead of the holiday, as millions of drivers prepare to hit the road for Thanksgiving, The discounted for unleaded 88 fuel started today and runs through Nov. 28. Customers can check if their local Sheetz sells this particular grade through the Sheetz mobile app or website . In Northampton County, it includes the gas stations on Nazareth Road and Trolley Line Drive in Palmer Township. Over in Lehigh County, the deal is offered at the station on Trexlertown Road in Upper Macungie Township. As of Nov. 20, the national average for a gallon of gas was at $3.308, according to AAA . But Pennsylvania – a state clocking in with some of the priciest gas in the country — saw an average of 3.594 a gallon In the Lehigh Valley, a gallon of regular varies between $3.05 and $3.11 a gallon, according to GasBuddy .
