SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A lucky man bought the right ticket at a Circle K, winning the $1 million prize. A lucky Shreveport man matched five of the six Mega Millions numbers in the Sept. 24 drawing to win $1 million. On Nov. 11, Walter Autry of Shreveport claimed his prize at the Lottery headquarters. Autry purchased his ticket from the Circle K on Pines Road in Shreveport and ended up taking home $717,500, after federal tax withholdings. The store will receive a selling bonus of $10,000, which is 1% of the prize. The winning numbers for the drawing were 01-06-10-23-27 and the Mega Ball was 18. "I hope the winner is one of our regular customers!" said Store Manager Felicia Thornton. Thornton and her team were excited because of the news of the winning match-5 ticket being sold at their location. Since its creation in 1991, the Louisiana Lottery has fulfilled its mission of maximizing revenue for the state of Louisiana, transferring more than $4.6 Billion to the state for K-12 public education.
