Shut windows and doors warning due to barn fire

Residents near Tiverton in Devon have been advised to shut windows and doors after a fire broke out in a barn.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the "large" blaze in the Halberton area shortly before 22:00 GMT on Tuesday.

Firefighters from multiple stations attended the fire at the large agricultural building which contained straw and machinery, it said.

The service said crews remained at the scene on Wednesday morning.
