YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A short street on Youngstown's Southside is in the process of being redeveloped with brand new housing. On Mineral Springs Avenue — which is across from the Youngstown Playhouse off of Glenwood Avenue — six new houses will be built. So far, three of the basements have been dug with one of the foundations in place. It's a joint project between the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation and the Mahoning County Land Bank. The houses will be three bedrooms and two and a half baths. They'll be listed for no more than $180,000 each and will include 100 percent, 15-year tax abatements. A groundbreaking will take place next Thursday morning. For the latest news, weather, sports, and streaming video, head to WKBN.com.
