Slideshow: Boat catches fire inside Stuart dealership
At first, Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) crews did not see what triggered the alarm that sent them to a Stuart powerboat dealer, but they did not need to wait long to find out the cause.
There was nothing showing outside Palm City Yachts when firefighters reached the building on Southeast Gran Park Way shortly after midnight, according to a MCFR post. As they waited to gain entry into the dealership, smoke emerged from the side of the structure.
That led them to a boat in one of the bays that was ablaze, the post continued. Firefighters quickly knocked it down, but not before the fire caused significant damage.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
