SMU vs. TCU live updates, score: Mustangs host Horned Frogs in 103rd Battle for the Iron Skillet

A.Lee10 days ago
UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas — SMU and TCU meet on Saturday for possibly the final time at the Mustangs' Ford Stadium.

The Battle for the Iron Skillet isn't set to continue past 2025 , potentially putting an end to a century-long rivalry.

SMU aims to bring back the Iron Skillet trophy for the first time since 2021 and add the first rivalry win for the program under head coach Rhett Lashlee.

TCU has won nine of the last 11 matchups and coach Sonny Dykes has been victorious in the last four games — with both the Horned Frogs and the Mustangs.

Both teams enter the game with a 2-1 record. SMU is coming off an open week following a home loss to BYU. TCU enters off a close defeat to UCF after letting a 21-point lead slip down the stretch.

The Horned Frogs lead the all-time series 53-42-7.
