Snow leaves motorists stuck on highways in Union County

UNION COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Snow has trapped dozens of drivers on Highway 64 and 87 near Raton. Emergency crews have responded trying to get people to safety. The Union County Sheriff's Office posted pictures online throughout the evening.
Heavy snow falls on Las Vegas during November snowstorm
A semi-truck got stuck and blocked off all the traffic behind it while snow accumulated. The National Weather Center tells KRQE News 13 that up to 100 people are still stranded. Deputies and emergency crews are working at this hour to free the motorists.
