Sonida buys a second senior living facility in Northeast Florida

Benton House at Oakleaf, an assisted living and memory care facility at 417 Oakleaf Plantation Parkway near Argyle Village in Southwest Jacksonville, sold Sept. 30 for $8.3 million to Sonida Senior Living.

The Dallas-based company rebranded the facility as The Addison of Oakleaf.

Sonida Senior Living bought the home through Sonida Jacksonville LLC.

Batson-Cook Development Co., Principal Senior Living Partners IV LLC of Alpharetta, Georgia, sold the property through Oakleaf SLP LLC.

Built in 2017, the 51,566-square-foot facility sits on 6.1 acres.

Sonida Senior Living also purchased the Addison St. Johns at 115 Benton Lane, south of Johns Creek Center in St. Augustine, on Sept. 30 for $12.28 million.

The Addison of Oakleaf offers assisted care, memory care and temporary care.

There are five unit options: Studios are 330 square feet; studio deluxe units are 400 square feet; one-bedrooms are 378 square feet and 504 square feet; and deluxe one-bedroom units are 552 square feet.

Amenities include exercise classes and fitness center, continued learning, concerts, weekly happy hours, regular outings and shopping trips and community-owned pets.
