SoonerScoop podcast: OU earns victory No. 10, now what?

You can’t lament six quarters (Kansas, Oklahoma State), but it’ll be hard for OU fans throughout this weekend if things don’t shake out right.

The Sooners did their part Friday with an emphatic 69-45 victory against visiting TCU on Senior Day. But OU entered Saturday not knowing its fate. Big 12 championship? Alamo Bowl? New Year’s Six Bowl? We. Don’t. Know.

The Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast from SoonerScoop is back one more time this regular season to wrap it all up.

“It was a long message,” head coach Brent Venables said. “There’s a lot to unwind. The finish is always better than the beginning. Biblically speaking and this season. We told them several days ago nobody cares about 9-2 this week. They care about this week and trying to get to that 10th win.

“Really thankful and proud of everybody for their hard work. The seniors have been nothing short of amazing, their commitment, their belief, their leadership.”

Carey Murdock, Eddie RadosevichGeorge Stoia break everything down as OU has gone from 6-7 to 10-2 in just 12 months.

Murdock summary:

“Oklahoma finished out the regular season by beating TCU 69-45. It wasn’t a pretty game defensively but offensively, it was a great way to send out Dillon Gabriel Drake Stoops . Brent Venables has gone from 6-7 to 10-2 and we take some time to celebrate what that should mean moving forward.

“And what about players like Danny Stutsman, Jalil FarooqBilly Bowman. Will they be back with the Sooners next year? What about the transfer portal? What do the Sooners need to add? They can’t take everyone. So where do they go to fill the biggest holes? That’s what she said. Eddie and George turned this into a family Thanksgiving by picking at each other throughout the pod. And we show plenty of appreciation for the things Dillon Gabriel did for this program over the last couple of years.”

All that and more in the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast from SoonerScoop .
