Sophie Turner reveals she's 'so happy to be back living in the UK' after Joe Jonas divorce admitting 'my life was on pause until I returned to England'

Following Sophie Turner 's toxic divorce from US pop star Joe Jonas , with whom she has two young daughters, the Game of Thrones star is finding it comforting to be back in Britain.

The Northampton-born actress was awarded a Harper's Bazaar Woman of the Year award this week for her performance in ITV drama Joan.

'I'm so happy to be back,' says Turner, 28, who wore a fringed white Louis Vuitton minidress to the ceremony at Claridge's in Mayfair.

'It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England,' she says.

'I just never really feel like myself when I'm not in London, with my friends and family.'

After the breakdown of her four-year marriage, the actress has found love again with Peregrine 'Perry' Pearson, Viscount Cowdray's son and heir.

Sophie cut an ethereal display in a white mini dress as she accepted the award on Tuesday.

The Game Of Thrones star, 28, commanded attention as she graced the red carpet in a white long-sleeved tasseled dress.

She put on a leggy display for the glitzy evening as she slipped into a pair of shiny black Christian Louboutin stilettos.

To accessorise, she kept it simple a pair of elegant silver dangly earrings and styled her blonde tresses into a wavy long bob.

Sophie, alongside Victoria Beckham , Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Ambika Mod were celebrated for their amazing accomplishments in their respected fields.

Her stunning appearance came after she opened up about her 'beautiful relationship' with ex Joe, as she admitted their divorce was 'incredibly sad'.

The actress, married the Jonas Brothers singer, 35, in 2019 and the pair share two children, daughters Willa, four, and Delphine, two.

The former couple finalised their divorce in September, a little over a year after Joe filed for separation.

Speaking to Harper's Bazaar , Sophie revealed she couldn't talk much about the divorce for legal reasons, but admitted it had been 'hard'.

She said: 'I'm going through a legal process right now where I can't really say much, but it was incredibly sad.

'We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard.'

Elsewhere in the interview, Sophie also defended being away from her children for work, after she was cruelly mum-shamed in the wake of her divorce from Joe .

Their divorce sparked a gender row after sources claimed Sophie had been partying while Joe looked after their two children - with fans slamming the reports as 'mum-shaming' .

Speaking to the publication on Tuesday about travelling for work - she has been filming several projects, including her latest hit Joan - Sophie said she hopes her daughters will see she is a 'hard-working mum' and is 'doing everything for them'.

'I want them to see me having a social life and enjoying work and thriving in my career and relationships,' she said.
