SPD: Homeless man allegedly attacks caller, arrested

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — Shreveport Police officers responded to a complaint involving two homeless males allegedly trespassing on a business's property on September 13th, just after midnight.

Shreveport Police Department details the incident on the 1200 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway. When officers arrived, 21-year-old Harley Main and his father, Michael Main, were on the scene.

According to the property manager, he attempted to ask the two men to leave when Harley Main 'suddenly attacked him with a bike chain.'

Officers noted no serious injuries were reported.

Shreveport Police found upon further investigation that the 21-year-old had outstanding g warrants for possession of narcotics. He was subsequently arrested for aggravated assault and criminal trespassing and taken to the Shreveport City Jail.

SPD detailed that Michael Main, the father, received a summons for criminal trespassing.
