Spring Creek man arrested on lewdness charge

SPRING CREEK — A Spring Creek man was arrested on a warrant charging he committed a lewd act with a child that occurred five years ago.
Larry D. McDonald, 47, was booked in Elko County Jail on Oct. 11 on one count of lewdness with a child under 14 years old, a category "A" felony.
According to court documents, Elko County sheriff's detectives launched an investigation in April 2023 into allegations of "inappropriate contact" that began in 2019 and ended in 2023 between McDonald and a child.
The Elko County District Attorney's Office filed formal charges in Elko Justice Court on Oct. 11.
McDonald's bail was listed at $150,000.
